Capital Campaign

SMHC will finance the construction of the new health center and MHC will finance the construction of the new housing units.

The budget for the new health center is $12 million. The City of San Francisco Redevelopment Agency has committed $4.5 million towards the costs of acquiring the land as well as those costs associated with the initial development of the project.

The Westbrook Plaza campaign has garnered strong initial support from committed representatives of the private foundation, local business, public service and healthcare communities.

We’re happy to announce early support of this project has come from well-known benefactors such as the: Tides Foundation, Continental Development Corporation, Herbst Foundation, St. Francis Memorial Hospital Foundation, California Endowment, McKesson Foundation, Blue Shield of California Foundation, San Francisco Foundation, Blum Foundation, and numerous local businesses.

We anticipate needing to raise an additional $4,500,000 million in gifts from the private sector.

To honor and recognize all donors to the Westbrook Plaza project, SMHC has prepared a Donor Recognition and Naming Opportunities program.
