Sean Bullard, DDS, Dental
Director
Dr. Bullard joined South of Market
Health Center as its Dental Director in 2003. Under his
leadership the Dental Department has shown significant
growth both in its scope of care and in the number of
clients being treated. Today the dental department has
nearly 1500 users who are able to receive a broad range
of general dentistry services. Dr. Bullard is responsible
for managing the department, assurance of a scope of care
that meets the basic needs of each client, regardless
of their ability to pay, and for incorporating a strong
prevention and self-care program. He attended UC Berkley
as an undergrad and latter received his DDS from Howard
University College of Dentistry. He has been involved
in various research projects and publications and was
an oral surgery fellowship/intern at Harlem Hospital.
Dr. Sean, as he is fondly known, sees “dentistry
as one of the last trades.” He says, “if you
love your dentist you’ll smile forever.” His
biggest enjoyment is the time he has with his family,
followed by his other love: sports and outdoor activities,
including football, basketball, golfing and camping.
“Our bodies are a temple and our mouth is the entry
way. I try to make people feel good about smiling.”
