Cristina Sprague, RN,
FNP, Director of Operations
Cristina Sprague joined the
South of Market Health Center in 1990 and has worked as
a nursing supervisor, a nurse practitioner, and currently
holds the position of Director of Clinic Operations. Before
joining South of Market Health Center she worked in various
clinical settings at hospitals and elder care facilities.
She is licensed as both a Registered Nurse and Family
Nurse Practitioner, which means she has received special
training and can perform many of the duties of a physician.
Cristina attended the Philippines Women’s University,
California State University Long Beach, and Harbor UCLA
Medical Center, where she received her training as a nurse
practitioner. In her present capacity Cristina is directly
responsible to the Medical Director for day-to-day management,
including clinic and administrative support services.
Her duties also include oversight for special programs,
emergency preparedness, OSHA, and quality assurance. As
a real proponent of community-based services, she maintains
an active involvement in organizing community outreach
programs for the South of Market Area.
In her spare time Cristina enjoys spending time with her
husband and her two beautiful daughters.
