Ramon N. Ferrer, Chief
Financial Officer
Ramon Ferrer has more than
25 years experience advising the financial interests and
guiding the leadership of community health centers in
and around the Bay Area. His expertise as a shrewd financial
planner and trusted custodian of the organization's finances
has allowed the South of Market Health Center to thrive
and grow in an under-funded and competitive marketplace.
As CFO, Ramon is responsible for planning, organizing
and directing all activities of SMHC’s business
and financial affairs. He acts as the principal manager
for the health center’s operational budget and oversees
the planning, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating, and
controlling of the corporations finances.
Ramon received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
from The University of the East, Manila, Philippines in
1967 and began his finance career working in international
trade and shipping. He soon worked his way into more senior
financial positions and transitioned these skills into
the financial setting of community health centers. In
his spare time Ramon enjoys; painting, singing, dancing,
bowling and playing with his grandchildren.
