Welcome to South of Market Health Center’s new website.

At SMHC, we believe building relationships with our clients and other service providers is the best way to solve our community’s complex health problems.

For over 30 years, SMHC has provided comprehensive high quality healthcare to medically underserved individuals and families in our community. The Westbrook Awards

Woman Fights for Her Community: She is known as the Ultimate Weapon. Mrs. Westbrook who did most of her work as a volunteer is now bed ridden but continues to speak loudly and boldly for the poor.
 

SMHC Holds Ground Breaking Ceremony for Westbrook Plaza on November 6, 2008: SMHC and Mercy Housing California celebrated with representatives from the federal government, the city, local residents, the business community and funding partners.
